Human Projects Education Fellows
Partnering with Schools to Research and Increase Access to Human Rights Education
Acting as a bridge between the Human Projects and local communities, Human Projects Education Fellows work with schools and other local organizations to research barriers to human rights education and implement human rights educational programs.
Position Description:
Fellows are responsible for:
Identifying and developing a list of schools in their country
Initiate contact with school representatives to discuss current human rights education and introduce opportunities to incorporate human rights eduction into the existing curriculum
Connect with local educators who are teaching human rights to provide support and collect feedback
Use first-person narratives and data collection to develop a complete understanding of access and barriers to human rights education as well as suggestions from educators, school administrators, and students (if possible) to increase access to human rights education. Compile findings in a report.
Requirements:
Commit to at least 5-10 hours per week
Above the legal age / age of majority in your country
Passionate about human rights and education
Speak at least one local language
Capable of reaching out schools either online or in person
Access to stable internet connection and a laptop, smartphone or tablet that can access Google Suite
